Have You Wondered Why You Use the Restroom More Than Others?

Have you wondered why you use the restroom more than others?

When it comes to urinary incontinence or people who are experiencing issues with bladder control, I like to clasify these people into two groups. Let’s use women for this example. We have the Frequent Urination Females and the Regular Urination Females. Frequent Urination Females tend to use the restroom a lot more often than the Regular group and they also are likely to complain about needing to go more often and in situations like dance clubs, on road trips or during other times of stress. Everyone knows the person who claims they have a bladder the size of a quarter but do we actually know why Frequent Urination Females may go more often than the Regular group? Chances are that it is not because they claim that their bladder is “the size of a quarter” so lets visit some possibilities.

One of the main reasons that a few women may fall into the Frequent Urination Females group is that they may have a few habits in their normal day-to-day lifestyles that effect their bladders. By making a couple of modest adjustments to their regular routines, they might be able to remove themselves from the Frequent Urination Females group and place themselves into the regular.

Drink Less Caffeine or Find a Caffeine Alternate.

Caffeine, much like alcohol, helps to dehydrate your body at a more accelerated rate than other beverages like water. When your body dehydrates the liquids have to go somewhere and on its way out it moves through the bladder at a more frequent rate. Because your bladder is performing extra time and making more urine, you in turn need to release it more often turning a lady who would normally fall in the regular category into a person who now falls into the Frequent Urination Females category. By finding alternate options to caffeine like Asian Ginseng Root, which is also an ingredient in bladder control products, that help to fight off stress, anxiety and fatique you may find that these products can still help to keep you awake like caffeine does; but instead of straining your bladder, they may help to calm it and keep it under control which may also help you move far from the Frequent Urination Females group.

Change the way you eat.

Certain foods that are highly acidic may actually make people who are usually on a usual schedule have to use the restroom more often. Citrus fruit and juices are very acidic. The types of acids found in citrus fruits may also aggravate the bladder helping to cause you to have to go to the bathroom more frequently and can move someone from the regular group to the Frequent Urination Females group. If you are taking a road trip or car trip, you may want to decrease on the amount of these types of foods within a reasonable amount of time before you get in the car or go out for the night. Other fruits that are highly acidic can include pineapple, cranberries, grapes, bananas and apples.

Alcohol can be a downfall for people who already have to “go” to often.

A lot like caffeine, alcohol consumption can cause an increase in the dehydration of your body. When your body dehydrates one of the places the fluids go is through your bladder which also means you may have to release more frequently. Sometimes men and women consider it breaking the seal and once that seal is shattered you may find yourself briefly in the Frequent Urination Females category. To help minimize the amount of times that alcohol may cause you to have to go, if you choose to consume alcohol and it is legal for you to consume alcohol, try drinking it in moderation and prepare yourself for a more regular use of the bathroom.

Look at your prescription drugs.

Occasionally people who find themselves falling into the Frequent Urination Females group with no real lifestyle changes are unable to figure out why they all of the sudden have to go more frequently. To help combat it, these individuals may then try to change their eating habits, try changing their lifestyles but what they forget to take a look at is their medicinal drugs. Some medicinal drugs may have overactive bladder as a side effect. If you have began a new medicine and discover a large change in your urination habits, you may want to phone your doctor to find out if overactive bladder is one of the side effects of your new prescription drugs.

There may be no obvious differences between Frequent Urination Females and men and women who are on a regular schedule. However, when you break down the two groups lifestyles and look at the different things that they do, you may find why some women end up in the Frequent Urination Females group and some in the regular. By looking at your life style and your routines you may find why you are a Frequent Urination Female occasionally and why at other times you are not. Look at your life-style and see if there is anything that could be creating stress or bladder problems and then find a method to deal with them so you can move out of the Frequent Urination Females group and return to a regular schedule.
