Does This Sound Like Diabetes?

Question by crystal: Does this sound like diabetes?
I’m getting tested in a couple weeks, but in the meantime…

Lately I’ve been drinking quite a bit more than I usually do, but I don’t know if I’d say it’s excessive. And because I’m drinking more, I’m obviously peeing more, but it isn’t necessary soon after I’ve drank. I’m drinking more partly because my throat is dry from a cough.

A couple months ago I was on antibiotics and while on them I got a yeast infection. I know that’s a common problem with yeast infections, but with already being worried about diabetes, getting one really freaked me out! I’d never had one before that, though I did get one the next month right before my period as well. Again, I’m not sure if that’s related.

Lastly, my toes were a little tingly for about 3 days, but this was AFTER I wore heels out dancing all night.

The problem is that all of these “symptoms” are accompanied by something else that can explain them, so I’m not sure if I should be worried or if I’m just being a bit of a hypochondriac.
Of course by “I know that’s a common problem with yeast infections” I meant with antibiotics.

Aside from that I thought it would help to say that I’m not losing any weight, if anything I’d say I was gaining a little bit. I’ve been tired a little more than usual, but I’m a college student who just finished up finals, so. I also don’t pee so frequently that I wake up in the middle of the night to do so. I pee maybe 4 or 5 times a day, sometimes more, sometimes less. I’m no hungrier than usual.

Anyway, I’m repeating myself, but the point is that so many other things going on make me unsure about whether all of these possible symptoms are actually symptoms.

i think you might be worrying a bit too much. of course since im not a doctor i cannot be completely sure of your situation, but it seems as if you have a logical explanation for most of your “symptoms”. get tested, it will ease your mind. there are other symptoms besides those that imply diabetes, and i dont think the “tingly toes” or bad circulation in your legs happens until after you have had diabetes for a bit. i also dont think yeast infections have anything to do with diabetes.
