Ok so me and my friend were talking earlier about his drinking. I have noticed recently that he always seems to be hitting them bottle. I asked him why he’s drinking so often and his reply was “I just need to, but i’m not an alcoholic”. I was like dude, if you can’t go a day without having the urge to drink then you are an alcoholic, simple as that. eventually he was like yeah so i agreed if he goes to these meetings i will come with him for some support so i was wondering, anyone know of any good alcohol therapy groups around the United Kingdom that i can take him to that actually help?
Thanks Helena, i try to be. I’ve known this cat since we were knee high to a grasshopper. I even consider him a blood brother more than a friend. We been through everything together so we are really close, i care about him alot and hope to get him better and off the drink before it’s too late. Many of my uncles and family have died through drink related causes like dependency and serosis ect, i would hate to see him go down that route too.
