What Are My Chances of the Navy Granting My “Diagnosis” of ADHD?
Question by Brandon Denham: What are my chances of the Navy granting my “Diagnosis” of ADHD?
Okay so here is my situation..
I have never had any medical history but having a hernia repair last year. I went and got that waiver and it was granted. I went to MEPS and got all that stuff done and i slipped up and told the Doctor that i had been suspended from school a couple times. So she suggested that i had ADHD and made a note on my file, she said i had to get a consult and see a psychiatrist for military standards. he asked me a lot of questions tried to get inside my head and to my knowledge i awnsered everything like anyone else would.
He sent off the paper work and obviously wrote me a bad report and my waiver got denied. i asked my recruiter what can i do and he told me i could see another psych and try to over turn the waiver
i went and saw another psych and he did tests and he said i dont have any symptoms of ADHD and he was shocked that they said i had it both physically and mentally. so i brought the reports he made to my recruiter to send off the the higher chain in the Navy.
1. ive never taken any pills for my “ADHD”
2. One of my elementary teachers suggested i had it when i was little and i got checked out for it and it came back negative.
3.I graduated highschool
So whats the chances? i dont really understand it myself but thats the military.
oh and im eighteen years old xD
I know i should have but that was the only thing i admitted to
