Already on Lyme Disease Medication – New Tick?
Question by Skip S: Already on Lyme Disease medication – new tick?
I live in a semi-rural area of New York, where Lyme Disease is incredibly common. I was diagnosed two days ago with acute Lyme a month after finding a small tick stuck to my shoulder and a week and a half after coming down with “flu-like symptoms”. I feel much better because I have been taking tetracycline for the past two days. However, today I found another tick on my leg, even smaller than the first (about the size of this period -> . ). If the tick is infected with Lyme, do I have to worry? I’m already on the medication, so will that just take care of this new infection?
