Question by ROBERT: Why do people assume you will add more alcohol to a drink if they ask for little/no ice?
I’m a bartender in a restaurant and the rule of thumb for all drinks served over ice is to FILL the glass with ice. People also assume that less ice means that your drink will be less watered down when the opposite is true.

They probably think that if there’s no ice you will fill the glass to the same amount, which would require more of the other ingredients.
