Alcoholic Problems: How Do You Broach the Subject of Alcoholism With an Alcoholic?

Question by Tia: How do you broach the subject of alcoholism with an alcoholic?
He’s gone from drinking 1 slab a week, to 3 slabs a week, maybe more. I’m more bothered by the fact he drinks too much, then starts arguments and making issues out of things that aren’t an issue.

Answer by what u talkin’ bout?
You can’t. This is something that they, the drinker, has to realize on their own and decide to do something about “the problem” on their own. The more you push, the more you would end up pushing that person away from what you want the person to see and come to the realization that they have a problem. Drinking is a disease.
