Pablo Picasso 1881- 1973 Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno Maria de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santisima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso Picasso was a Spanish painter draughtsman, and sculptor. He is one of the most recognized figures in 20th century art. Picasso is best known for co- founding (with Georges Braque) the Cubist movement. Amoung his most famous works are “Demoiselles d’Avignon” and “Guernica” Picasso demonstrated uncanny artistic talent in his early years, painting in a realistic manner through his childhood and adolescense, during the first decade of the 20th century his style changed as he experimented with different theories, techniques, and ideas. Picasso’s creative genius manifested itself in numerous mediums, including painting, sculpture, drawing and architecture.
