“Liquor Coated Lies” My First Original Song Written and Sung by Curt Collins
I have the Demo version of this song up here also, but just wanted to put one up of me singing it the way I wrote it. It is not near as good as when Jeff Carson sung it for me in the demo, but I like to hear songs sung by the songwriters no matter how bad it may. This song is very special for me because it is my life! I wrote it for my mother and other siblings to show how you can get stronger from a bad time in your life. We all turned out ok, so I guess it didn’t ruin us. I don’t consider myself to sing well, but I know I need to get over that and just post it. I want to use Youtube as a place where I can get feedback on the songs I have written. I have enjoyed so many of you guys songs here and you convinced me to just do it! Thanks and please give me your thoughts.

This song is written as if an alcoholic parent wrote it. We’re not alcoholics or parents ourselves, we’re kids who knows people with this problem. This song was written by us, it wasn’t even supposed to turn out this way, but it felt really deep and real to us now that it’s done. We want to dedicate this song to all children and grown ups with alcoholic parents, friends or other people they’re close to.
