Difficulty in breathing, shortness of breath, and dizzy spells are also frequently reported during periods of anxiety. It may feel that no matter how hard you try you cannot seem to get enough air in your lungs.
The physical symptoms of anxiety and stress can have a long lasting effect on the body; they have been known to affect many different body systems. Usually changes in lifestyle and mental attitude will help to reduce the effects. A change in lifestyle to reduce stress is probably one of the most effective things you can do, although it is probably impossible to completely remove stress from our lives. A change in mental attitude is probably, by far, your best resource in preventing the physical symptoms of anxiety and stress.
