Underage Drinking Prevention


At the 2011 National 4-H Conference hundreds of youth from across the country came together to discuss issues and topics they were interested in affecting. In partnership with SAMHSA (Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration) youth learned about teenage alcohol consumption and identified gaps in the current efforts to prevent underage drinking. The group of 16 delegates came up with potential solutions that the 4-H program can implement to help prevent underage drinking and presented this information to administrators at SAMHSA on April 6th, 2011.
