Can He Kick Me Out of the House?

Question by dezgirl: Can he kick me out of the house?
I have been married for 4 years. I have not children. But I have been living in this hell of marriage. I think I have reached my limits. He is all the time telling that I need to leave the house, that if I do not want him I should just go, but then he says he will hire a lawyer and persecute me and do all kind of evil things to me. The worses time I have had now is that my mother came to visit from abroad, and he screamed to her all of our issues, and called me all kind of names. I really got upset to him because of that, and by the way when he did that he was drunk. That is also other of the issues with him, that he is an alcoholic adict. The house we where we live is rented, he does not own it. I am wondering if he can really kick me out. And how could I just leave him, without “being’ charged with “abandon of the marriage” or something like that. I obviously just want to exit and end this marriage and do not want to pay alimony or nothing. And as I said we have not children or any property. Plus at this point he is jobless…
