Ok so I met this guy off line for a brief second i stopped by where he was at but had other plans and left. After I met him last night he sent me a text saying it was nice to meet me and to have a good night. I know hes been going through so much with his ex and his kids…..and hes had a hard time trying to move on and to date….But this morning I text him to say hello and see how his day was going. And he text me back saying that it was fine that he was just waiting for his kids to get home. Then he texts me back saying “Listen I have to be honest with you….I have been a recovering alcoholic been sober for two years and just recently relapsed…I think you are a great woman….But im not ready to start dating…But I do enjoy talking to you….Would you be my friend?” So I text him back saying that yes of course I would be then was talking him through it trying to make him feel a little better he tells me that me talking to him is helping him calm down then when I tell him i had to go he sent me a text saying ” You will make an awesome wife one day! I envy the man who will become your husband!” Before that text I did ask him if there was something that he didnt like about me because he never said anything about his drinking problem until today and he said that it just wasnt anything he tells people he doesnt know that well…. So does it sound like he just doesnt like me and hes giving me the lets be friends to let me down easy or what????
regardless of his issues im just wondering if ive been rejected… im trying to date and i feel a little rejected
