How to Tell Your Mom She Is an Alcoholic?

Question by Catherine: How to tell your mom she is an alcoholic?
So i’m in tears right now. I feel like my mom is an alcoholic. I get home from school at 4 everyday and she’s drinking and by six she is completely drunk. She says weird things, disses me, and she even slapped my step dad tonight. See my biological dad is an alcoholic and when we lived with him when I was a little girl he abused both me and her. Now, 7 years later she married a nice man. My step dad really cares about me, and treats me so much better than my real dad. I never see my real dad, he said he didn’t want me anymore. But this past year my mom lost around 25 pounds and she gets drunk even quicker now. Its killing me seeing all the damage she is doing. I’m afraid my step dad will leave her and we’ll move. I like where I am right now, I have found friends. I can’t lose all that. You know how many girls call their mom a “best friend” and they talk to her about everything? Well- I want to have that! I miss being able to goof off with my mom and let her hold me and tell me boys sucked when I went through breakup. Now, its like I’m alone. School gets hard, and I put up walls to keep people out, because I’m tired of being hurt. Its hard for me to make friends when my emotional state is exhausted. I’ve been depressed for 3 years now because of my past, and its never ending. I know this is a lot, but if you could give me insightful answers, it’d make my day. I don’t want to be put in foster care.. just please help me.
Sarcastic comments don’t help. don’t be a smarta**. I don’t think you’d like it if you felt so low, and depressed. seriously. STOP. K thanks.
