Karanja, the Suffering Alcoholic .mp4

Karanja a family man is caught in the trap of alcoholism. Karanja, like many people in this situation is in denial. He does not want to admit his drinking problem. Karanja takes to enjoying a “little drink” with friends after work but soon he is a confirmed alcoholic. His colleague Frank, a recovering alcoholic, tries to help but Karanja ignores him. Soon enough consequences catch up with him. He begins telling lies, his work is running behind schedule, the bills and mortgages are no longer paid on time. Then the ultimate crunch: he losses his job and family. At rock bottom, Karanja comes to realization that he really needs help. At this point Frank convinces him that alcoholism is a sickness and that he is powerless by himself. Karanja joins the Alcoholic Anonymous support group, finds a new life in God and is reunited with his family. His parting words to Joe, his alcoholic workmate are: “There is hope for you to! You can begin the recoving process now”. – (67 min)
